Program Support Associate - Personal Philanthropy Group

Job Description

The Walton Family Foundation is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the foundation as a Program Support Associate. This position will work on a team that is responsible for operational/administrative support of the department’s Program Staff and the Walton family members’ personal philanthropy. Duties vary according to need, from administrative support to the logistics of grants management, with assignments growing in complexity along with experience and capacity.

What you will do

• Assist with general correspondence, requests for information, creation and updating of files and records including grantee acknowledgement letters, follow-up reports, etc.
• Create and maintain database/physical system records and prepare routine and custom management reports
• Work with Operations and IT on requirements for custom reports, online grant cycles, etc.
• Populate and maintain a client service-oriented database that documents important requirements and workflows, such as specific templates or approval processes.
• Assist in scheduling and planning for events such as meetings, travel, conferences and presentations, which may include coordinating arrangements for participants, handling logistics, and preparing and disseminating materials for various related entities.
• Complete other projects and assignments as assigned based on the needs of the department and/or the foundation.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of one to three years’ work experience, preferably in an administrative role in a nonprofit office environment requiring interaction with both internal and external “customers”
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint (SQL Server experience a plus but we will train Associates to use our database)
